I first discovered JACAL after dining at iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui. I noticed their large logo and was surprised to find out they’re an interior design company. I appreciate their transparency, and the space is so big ,around 3,000 to 4,000 square feet—allowing me to see a variety of designs and innovative materials that I hadn’t seen elsewhere.
The collaboration was enjoyable. They helped not only with renovations and furniture design but also with selecting the sofa, curtains, and lighting, making the overall design more cohesive.

“Another ‘mission impossible’ completed! For design, we only had a half-baked understanding – the only thing we were really sure about was that our family needs a lot of storage. When we first met the designer, we spent a long time explaining how we wanted to place our things and how the space should be allocated. The designer kept nodding, saying it was all doable, and even agreed to help us add a concealed helper’s bed without any extra charge.
After around half a year of design and work, we finally moved in. All the items are exactly the same as the original agreement with no VO at all, and the layout and furniture placement fully meet our needs. From the very beginning, the designer took our order seriously, explaining every charge item by item. The pricing was fair and transparent, which really gave us confidence. Choosing JACAL was definitely the right decision. 👍🏻👍🏻

"This time we used this design company for our renovation and the whole process went quite smoothly. What impressed us most was that, right from the beginning, they clearly explained how the charges were calculated. The quotation was very clear, listing out each work item and material one by one, so it was easy to understand and not confusing at all.
During the renovation, what I worried about most was sudden mark‑ups. In reality, apart from a few small items that I personally decided to add later, they never suggested any ‘extra charges’. In the end, the final bill matched the original contract amount, without a bunch of unexpected miscellaneous fees, which felt very reassuring.
Both the boss and the designer are quite straightforward. Anything that couldn’t be done or wasn’t advisable, they would honestly point out, instead of just saying ‘yes, can do’ to everything. After completion, there were a few minor issues, and once we informed them, they arranged someone to come and fix them without mentioning any additional fees. Overall, they gave us the impression of being very solid and down‑to‑earth in the way they work."

The quotation is also worth praising. All the details were clearly listed – which works were included, which materials were used, quantities and unit prices – everything was written out. If there were any changes during the process, they would explain them clearly in advance before making a decision, and there was never a situation where they suddenly said ‘we need to add this and that’ halfway through. It made budget control very easy.
The price is very reasonable too. You don’t use super‑low prices to attract customers and then slowly add on costs, 👍 nor do you mark up the fees to an exaggerated level just because the design looks good. Compared with the current market, the whole experience plus the final result really feel very good value.”
